Loving Husband, Father, Pops and Friend was welcomed into his heavenly home on October 13,2023.

He left us at 76 years of age; born on December 1, 1946 in Oakland California to Marie and Edwin Grier.  Larry grew up loving sports including Baseball. Track & Field and later Weight Lifting.  Larry served his country, joining the Navy at the age of 17.  Following an Honorable Discharge Larry began a career in the Automotive Industry, where he met his wife Miriam of 27 years.

A faithful member of Grace Outreach Center

Larry’s passion for weight Lifting presented him with numerous trophies and awards. Larry held the Word Record in 1989 in the Clean and Jerk at 187.5 KG (413.37 lbs), Earning him the title of the World’s Strongest Veteran. 

Larry was preceded in death by his parents Marie and Edwin Grier. Survived by his wife Miriam Grier, Son Tyler Grier and wife Alyssa, Stepson Chris Coughenour and girlfriend Melinda Stevens, Brother David Grier, Sister Debbie Montoya and husband Gene, niece Susan and husband Zack Bryan.

Services with be held Tuesday October 24, 2023 at Grace Outreach Center. 

Grace Outreach 2900 Southern Blvd. SE  Rio Rancho, NM 

Viewing begins at 9:00 AM followed by a Celebration of Life at 10:00 AM
