at Riverview Nursing Home in Prestonsburg, KY. Larry was the husband of the late Bonnie Mae Shepherd Shortridge. He was born May 5, 1948 a son to the late Ezra and Julia Hatfield Shortridge. Larry was a retired Coalminer. He is survived by his Daughter: Sabrina Shortridge of Prestonsburg, KY; grandchild: Peyton Shortridge. great-grandchild: Waylon; brothers: Carl Shortridge of Richmond, KY, Darvin Shortridge of Prestonsburg, KY and Ronald Shortridge. Sisters: Peggy Clevenger, Barbara Shortridge, Geneva Compton and Hildred Bowling all of Floyd County, KY. Larry was preceded in death by two sons: Gary Houston Shortridge and Larry Shortridge Jr. and one daughter: Monica Shortridge, and one sister: Ruby Tussey.
Visitation will be Tuesday (December 19th, 2023) at 6pm at the Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Ky. All day Wednesday (December 20, 2023) at the funeral home.
Funeral Services will be Thursday (December 21, 2023) 1PM at The Nelson Frazier Funeral Home in Martin, Ky with Chuck Hall officiating.
Burial will be at the Sellards- Shortridge Family Cemetery Endicott, Ky

Hey bub, it´s your baby brother, I hope you are standing there with God and Daddy and Mommy,Gary,Leanne. I hope God has lifted all your burdens. You´ve left some holes in a lot of peoples hearts and we will always love and miss you. I just want you to know that you were not only my brother but my father and my best friend. I will always love you!!!!!!!!
