Leon Davis, Jr. was born on August 12, 1948 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the union of Leon Davis, Sr. and Leah Rose Fanning. He was the second oldest of nine children and one of only two boys. He received his formal education in the Milwaukee Public School System in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upon graduation from high school, he attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he studied electrical engineering. He accepted Christ as his Savior atthe age of 10, at Ellison Chapel AME Church, and served under the leadership of the late Reverend Dr. Edward A. Hawkins. In 1968, Leon married his high school sweetheart and the only love of his life, Lois Woods, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their union was blessed with 2 sons. Later in life, Leon changed professions and began working in the food industry. He served as a restaurant manager for several "Five Star" restaurants in San Francisco. Leon was an avid reader and enjoyed watching science fiction movies, as well as listening to jazz. He was a devoted San Francisco 49ers' fan and watched their football games every opportunity he got. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and his two best friends, Larry and Ocie. Leon Davis, Jr. departed this life on December 4, 2011.
