Linda L. Davis, 72, of North Kingstown, passed away peacefully on August 11, 2023 at Roberts Health Centre. She was the former wife of Dwain E. Davis, Jr. of Cranston. Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Eli J. Lecuivre and Helen M. (Carr) Lecuivre.
Linda was a graduate of Barrington College where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Secondary Education English and the University of Rhode Island where she received her Master's Degree in Reading. She was an English Teacher and Reading Consultant/Specialist in Cranston Public Schools as well as an Adjunct Professor at Johnson & Wales University.
She was a member of Faith Baptist Church and enjoyed playing the piano.
She leaves her loving daughters, Jaime A. Davis of Johnston and Heather J. Rourke and her husband John of North Kingstown. Cherished grandmother of Jonathan M. Lopes of Warwick, Bethanie A. Davis of Warwick, Aubrey L. Forman of Saunderstown, Alexandra D. Forman of Saunderstown, Emily R. Forman of North Kingstown, and Sean M. Rourke of North Kingstown. She was the sister of Richard L. Lecuivre & his wife Constance of Cranston and the late Michael E. Lecuivre.
Her Funeral Service will be held Monday, August 21, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. in Faith Baptist Church, 765 Commonwealth Avenue, Warwick. Burial in Quidnessett Memorial Cemetery will be private. Friends may greet the family from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. in church prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Hope Alzheimer's Center, 25 Brayton Ave., Cranston, RI 02920 or to Beacon Hospice, 1130 Ten Rod Road, Suite A205, North Kingstown, RI 02852, will be appreciated.
Arrangements have been entrusted to THE CRANSTON-MURPHY FUNERAL HOME of WICKFORD.
