Linda M. Larson

On Saturday, February 3, 2024, Linda Marie Larson passed into God's care. She was born in Rockford, IL to Agnes & Claude Swanson on January 20, 1944. She graduated from Rockford East High in the class of 1962. On August 24, 1963, she married Wendell and recently celebrated their 60th anniversary. Linda worked for the Rockford School District for over 25 years and retired from Cherry Valley School as a secretary in 2009 where she was a great friend to many students & faculty. She will be greatly missed.
Linda was predeceased by her parents, parents-in-law Fritz and Rhoda Larson, brother Donald Swanson, and brother in-law Jerry (Barb) Larson.
She is survived by her husband Wendell, sons Greg (Jen), and Kevin (Kyra), and her special grandchildren Morgan (Ellie), Alex (Jessie), Mads, Ingrid, Malcolm, and Björn. Also, brother in-law Randy (Judy) Larson, and sister in-law Caroline Swanson, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration service at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Christ Lutheran Church, 425 Riverside Rd., Belvidere, IL. with Deacon Laura Gorton officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. prior to the service. A very special thank you to UW Home Health Care and Mercyhealth at Home Hospice for their excellent and compassionate care.
