Loretta Turrell Obituary

Loretta Jean Turrell, 82, of Bradley, passed away Aug. 5, 2023, at Arcadia Care of Clifton.

She was born May 17, 1941, in Chicago, the daughter of Anthony and Frances Saperstein Bushame. Loretta married Harry Arthur Turrell on Sept. 3, 1960, at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais. He preceded her in death Nov. 29, 2020.

Loretta was a homemaker and a daycare provider.

She loved crafting and scrapbooking. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters-in-law, Tracey and Lori Turrell, of Bourbonnais, and Jayme and Vicki Turrell, of Arizona; one daughter and son-in-law, Callie and Gary Huggins, of Bourbonnais; one sister-in-law, Beverlee Turrell, of Kankakee; six grandchildren, Adam Turrell, Travis (Renee) Turrell, Jarrod (Sarah) Huggins, Jace Huggins, Breann (John) Ophoven and Jonathon Turrell; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Frances Bushame; and one sister and brother-in-law, Rose and Ralph Spenard.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

A memorial visitation will be from 4 p.m. Monday, Aug. 14, until the 6 p.m. memorial service, both at Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home in Bourbonnais. Deacon Patrick Skelly will officiate the ceremony. Private family inurnment will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Kankakee.

Memorials may be made to UpliftedCare Hospice, Bourbonnais, or the Arcadia Care of Clifton Activity Fund.
