Louise Creighton Obituary

Visit the Titus Funeral Home and Cremation Services - Warsaw website to view the full obituary.
Louise Creighton, a beloved member of the Atwood community, passed away peacefully at her home on Crystal Lake in rural Atwood. She was born in Atwood, on November 25, 1932, to the late Hobart and Gladys Jordan. She graduated from Atwood High School in 1950 and later attended Purdue University.

In her younger years, Louise worked at Judd Drug Store in Warsaw before dedicating several years of her life to Lake City Bank. However, her true passion and joy stemmed from caring for her family at home, where she poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and loving environment.

Louise will always be cherished for the precious moments she shared with her family. Her talent for canning goods and preparing homemade meals brought everyone together. As a person of quiet faith, Louise was a devoted member of Atwood Otterbein Church. Her voice graced the church choir for many years and drew the attention of a young man by the name of Eddie Creighton to whom she was married on August 10, 1952.

Beyond her faith and family, Louise found solace in tending to her immaculate gardens and a love for reading and sports. Her giving spirit led her to volunteer with the Salvation Army Auxiliary and other community organizations. Louise took pleasure in observing and feeding the birds and squirrels that frequented her backyard  and watching them more on her frequent nature walks.

Louise is survived by her three children: William "Bill" Creighton, Tim (Sandi) Creighton, and Mindy (Ron) Truex - all residing in rural Warsaw; 4 grandchildren: Brittany (Nick) Martin of Warsaw, Nathan Creighton of Warsaw, Heather Truex of St. Petersburg, FL and Tracy (Jason) Nichols of Warsaw; 6 great-grandchildren: Logan Martin, Ellie Martin, Brandon Pequignot, Katie Wood, Ian Nichols, and Ella Nichols and a sister-in-law, Connie Jordan. Husband of 71 years, Wm. Eddie Creighton preceded her in passing in November of 2023. She is also preceded in passing by an infant daughter, Sara Creighton and by five brothers: Edison Jordan, Joe "Bud" Jordan, Keith Jordan, Roberts Jordan and Richard Jordan.

Titus Funeral Home of Warsaw is entrusted with care of Louise and the Creighton & Jordan families. Visitation will be held in her church, Atwood Otterbein 306 East Main Street, Atwood on Friday, March 22, 2024 from 10 am to Noon. A Life Celebration Funeral will begin at Noon with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Memorial gifts may be considered in lieu of flowers. Gifts to Warsaw Salvation Army  Auxiliary, Atwood Otterbein Church or Stillwater Hospice with envelopes available at the service. To leave a written condolence, visit www.TitusFuneralHome.com
