Deepest sympathy to Nancy and her family and to all who loved Mabel. She was an easy person to love. When I first met her she was well into her 80's and was shocked when someone told me her age. She was always happy, well dressed and raring to go anywhere anytime: shopping, antiquing, picnicing, to lunch or dinner, visit friends. One night we phoned her and she even went to a hockey game. What a role model for the younger, and not so young, generation.
I miss her.

My sincere condolences to Nancy and Ross and all your family. It has been a long time since I have seen any of your family. But I too remember the old stone house and the many times that I got to come over to your place after school at Briercliff when my mom and dad were in town and I got to stay for a few hours with your family Your mother was a gem of a person from what I can remember. and to make it to such a long life. My prayers are with you yous and your families at this time.

It was a pleasure knowing Mabel . We appreciated her cheerful countenance , and ( classy outfits) on the Handy Dart where she continued to take a days outing ( and sometimes a bit of a long ride ) for a lady in excess of one hundred birthdays .
Condolences to another classy lady Nancy and all the family.

I would like to express my deepest sympathy to Nancy and Ross and their families on the passing of Mabel.I have fond memories of mabel from my younger years when she was newly married to Bill and they lived in that magestic ols stone house on the "correction-line" north of Regina. My sisters and I spent many happy tea parties at Mabel's house after school on our way home farther east on this road. This would be the years 1947-49 probably. I remember the precious little babies Nancy and Ross that we were permited to carefully hold in our arms(we used to tiff over who would be first!!!!) She was a great lady !!!Thankyou for the memories! Sincerely Laura Colbeck(Enick)--sisters Dorothy and Marilyn
