Maria Antoinette Vercher Terrell was born to Jerline Sears Adwater and James Murner Vercher
(both proceeded her in death) in Compton, California on December 23, 1959.
Maria A. Terrell was the 3rd oldest of 10 children. She was an excellent daughter, sister, wife, mother.
Nana, Niece, cousin, and friend.

She began her education in the Compton Unified School District, she attended at El Segundo
Elementary and Willowbrook Middle school after which she went on to forward her education and
graduated from college where she studied Word Processing. Maria worked for the Los Angeles
County Department of Public and Social Services for several years.

Being raised in a large family she was never without friends and made friends easily wherever she
went. Maria enjoyed being around family, laughing, Playing cards, dancing, and listening to music;
Gospel, R&B and Reggae were her favorites. She especially loved playing Baseball, playing games
and watching movies.

Maria accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a very young age. She had 4 beautiful children. She
met the love her life and on September 27, 1986, she and Randall D. Terrell were married in the city
of Compton, California.

Maria was a beautiful woman inside and out. Everyone that knew Maria knew her to be very strong
and always carried herself as a lady. She had such a beautiful smile and a beautiful heart.
She loved her husband and has always been loyal and loving. They were best friends and shared
many years of love and fun times together. He describes her as the best part of him, his heart and his
soul mate. She was his everything and she loved him unconditionally.

As a mother, Maria was always fun to be around and kept everyone laughing. She loved her children
unconditionally with everything in her being. She taught her children to love others and self-love,
independence, to always strive for the best, never give up and never depend on others. She
showed them guidance, support, taught them wisdom, how to work hard for what you want, never
judge others despite their faults and most importantly always, always stay prayed up. Maria showed
them strength even at her weakest. She never wanted her children to see the pain she bore daily.
She always greeted them with a smile and a big hug.

Maria leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Randall D. Terrell, 4 children, Taria L. Scrivens,
Edwin and Demetria Scrivens, Ronnie G. Scrivens, and Mia Terrell, twelve siblings, Patti Sears
