Marvin Leroy Scott, 73, of Lyman, passed away on May 7, 2023. Born in Spartanburg County, he was the son of the late Charles Rufus and Frances Jennings Scott. Marvin retired from the shipping department at Lyman Printing and Finishing and was country at heart, loved animals and building things.
Survivors include a son, Alan Scott; three daughters, Loretta Hinson, Jennifer Scott and Sabrina Scott; six brothers, Charles Scott, Jimmie Scott, Gene Scott, Frankie Scott, Robbie Scott and Michael Scott; four sisters, Cathy Tooley, Dianne Jones, Rhonda Hawkins and Tammie Holden; a half-brother, Melvin Scott; and two half-sister, Kitty Lawson and Betty Bridges;. He was predeceased by a bother, Donnie Scott; a sister, Elaine Chandler; and two half-brothers, Bobby and Walter Scott.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, May 10, 2023 at Stribling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, May 11, 2023 at the Stribling Funeral Home Chapel.
Interment will be at Westwood Memorial Gardens.
