Matthew James Nolan "Matt" of Media passed away peacefully at home on December 2, 2023.
Matt was born in Southwest Philadelphia and grew up in Aldan, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lansdowne Aldan High School in 1977 where he played football, baseball, and wrestled. He continued his education and graduated from Widner University in 1990 with a degree in business.
Matt worked at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange as a stock options broker and Kimberly Clark as a machine operator.
He enjoyed spending time with family, especially his grandsons, watching college football, vacationing at the beach, home improvement projects, and listening to live music.
Devoted husband of Carol (nee Hood), loving father of Jamie Contipodero (Anthony) and Erin Young (Bo). Also survived by his grandchildren Logan, Justin, and Reece who called him "Grop".
Cherished son of Joseph and Mary Nolan and brothers Steven (Christine) and Andrew (Barbara) Nolan. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brother, Joseph Nolan.
Relatives & Friends are invited to his viewing Friday, December 8th from 9:00-10:15am at the Danjolell – Stigale memorial Home 3260 Concord Rd. Aston, Pa. 19014. Funeral service will begin at 10:30 in our main chapel. Interment will be at Philadelphia Memorial Park. Luncheon to follow.

My deepest condolences to the Nolan family.
In loving memory of a wonderful person.
Matt I will miss our conversations and bantering at the gym when we talked Penn State football and other matters of life. Seeing you suffer these last few years was very difficult but now may you rest in God's Peace.
