Michael Monroe Finley

Michael Monroe Finley, 65, of Little Falls, New Jersey who loved his wife Annmarie, family, and friends and was much loved in return, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2014, at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Mr. Finley was born in El Dorado, Arkansas. He attended Southern Methodist University and the University of Oregon at Corvallis. He spent some years in the Pacific Northwest as a logger in Oregon, Washington, and Alaska. He was later employed by Merrill Lynch in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Merrill Lynch at their World Financial Center Headquarters in New York, where he worked for the remainder of his twenty year career. After leaving Merrill Lynch he was the President of Fourth Generation Capital and was a board member of the Downtown Association in New York City. Michael was an avid outdoorsman and world traveler. He enjoyed fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, trap shooting, sailing, and most of all he enjoyed sharing these activities with his wife, Annmarie, family, and friends. Michael was predeceased by his father, Marcus Monroe Finley. He is survived by his wife, Annmarie Coyle Finley; his mother, Charlie Jean Finley; his three brothers and their partners, David Starr and Theodosia Ferguson, John Marc and Patricia Finley, Lucas Finley and his sister, Melissa Finley. In addition, he is survived by family members Maryann Coyle Socik, Jeffrey and Veronica Coyle, James and Claire Coyle, Dennis, Christopher, and Peter Coyle; and many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews. Memorial Gathering will be held Friday October 10th from 7-9 pm at Bizub-Parker Funeral Home. 47 Main Street, Little Falls, NJ 07424 . A Memorial Service will be held at 8:30 pm.
