Nancy Hendrix Elrod

Nancy Hendrix Elrod Pickens Mrs. Nancy Hendrix Elrod, 75, of 200 Sid Edens Road, wife of 56 years to the late Billy H. Elrod, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at her home. Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late Cleo Essley and Blanche Bagwell Hendrix, Mrs. Elrod retired from Alice Manufaturing Company and was a member of Oolenoy Baptist Church since 1966, where she enjoyed playing the piano, organ, and singing in the church choir. Surviving are two daughters, Sabrina E. Hendricks (Jay), and Melinda Kay Elrod; one son, Billy Darrell Elrod (Kerri); one sister, Myrna Hughes; a twin brother, Don Hendrix; and four grandchildren, Regan and Frankie Hendricks, and Kacie and Kenzie Elrod. Funeral services will be noon Saturday, December 14, 2013 at Oolenoy Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30 AM until 11:45 AM at the church, prior to the service. The family is at the home.
