Preceded in death by parents Clifton Harrison Hedrick and Ila Marie Presnell Fogleman; husband Joe Don Willard, and grandson Hunter Sinkey.
Survived by children Cindy Willard, Murfreesboro, TN, Deborah Kay Sinkey, Cabot AR, Josie Willard, Murfreesboro, TN, Mitchell (Lesa) Willard, Murfreesboro, TN and Jess Willard (Clayton) Grayum, Murfreesboro, TN ;7 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren; Brother Larry Hedrick, Highpoint, NC.
Carolyn taught school for Murfreesboro City Schools until her retirement in 2002.
Visitation with the family will be 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, May 2, 2024 and 11:00am-1:00pm Friday, May 3, 2024 with the funeral service at 1:00pm at Murfreesboro Funeral Home. Entombment to follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

I was so sad to read about Mrs. Willard´s passing. She and I taught together at Blackfox when it first opened in the 1990´s.
I got to know her much better when her granddaughter Jessica was in my K class. She was a doting grandmother often checking on her Jess during the day.
Nancy and I began trading novels to read. She introduced me to the Louie LaMor western novels which I really enjoyed. I think I read every book in his series.
Nancy was a very kind, caring person.
My sincere condolences to her family.
