Patricia Ann Austin, 63, of Chicago, Illinois, and formerly of Miami, Florida, went home to be with our Lord the morning of June 2, 2023. Patricia was a longtime parishioner at Emmanuel Church of God in Jesus Christ in Chicago, where she was a devoted Sunday school teacher and Evangelist. She loved cooking, baking and knitting and was committed to spending time with her family.
Patricia is survived by her loving children Tikisha (Michael) Hunter, Barbara Austin, Petrina Austin, Pete Lane, Monica (Mirsad) Cisija, Petrice (Rolance) Thompson and Andrea Lane; 23 cherished and adored grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; dear sisters Dianne and Sylvia, and brother Aaron; and former partner and longtime friend James Lane and Richard Hendricks, with whom she shared children with. Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents Barbara Cobbs and Benjamin Austin; and treasured siblings Lois, Benjamin and Darlene.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 18, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 6811 Kennedy Avenue, Hammond, IN 46323.
