Patsy Sue Moore was born on November 23, 1945, in Temple, TX, to the late Harvey Russell Ragon and Mattie B. Hargrove Ragon. Her family later relocated to the Shady Grove area in Irving. On May 4, 1962, she married the love of her life, Eddy Lee Moore, and together, they made their home in the Metroplex area where they lovingly raised their two daughters.
In 2000, Patsy and Eddy, along with her beloved sister Laquita Jackson, decided to make their home in Wills Point. Patsy had many different jobs in life, including family hairdresser, but her favorite job was as Grandma, Memaw, and Aunt Pat. She had a passion for the ministry and was a devoted member of New Journey Church of God in Edgewood. She was known for her love of reading and her unwavering loyalty as a Dallas Cowboys fan.
Patsy Sue Moore is preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Russell Ragon and Mattie B. Hargrove Ragon, as well as her brother, Melvin Ragon.
She is survived by her loving husband, Eddy Moore of Wills Point; daughters, Susan Hodgson and husband Donny of Rockwall, and Kim Mott and husband Rodney of Kentucky; sisters, Shirley Boswell of Forney, and Laquita Jackson of Wills Point; grandchildren, Stephanie Wrenn, Nathan Hodgson, Whitney Hodgson and wife Danielle, and Ragon Jones; great-grandchildren, Colton Wrenn and Payton Wrenn, along with numerous other cherished relatives and friends.
Patsy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services for Patsy Sue Moore, age 77, of Wills Point, will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, September 12, 2023, at the New Journey Church of God in Edgewood. Burial will follow at White Rose Cemetery in Wills Point. The services will be under the direction of Hiett's LyBrand Funeral Home in Wills Point. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
