Peter Arnold

Peter Arnold, age 80, most recently of Auburn, Alabama, passed away on April 26, 2023. He was born on June 17, 1942, to the late Walter Alvin Arnold and Kathryn Jacobs Arnold in Lexington, Massachusetts. He retired from Shell Offshore Incorporated as an Advisor and Construction Superintendent of the deep-water drilling expeditions in the Gulf of Mexico and the Alaskan North Slope. Co-workers remember him for the many roles over a thirty-year career, but above all, that he was more interested in solving the problem than in garnering credit. A trait that endeared him to those on his teams. Family know him as a music lover, puzzler, woodworker, avid sailor and always a mentor to what was to come.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Winter Arnold; sons, Rob Arnold (Patti) and Tim Arnold (Maggie); daughter, Brooke King (Bobby); grandchildren, Ryan Arnold, Kaylee Arnold, Meagan Arnold, Leo King, Adele King, Edgar King, Caleb Schlereth, and Henry Arnold; extended family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held at Whispering Hills Green Cemetery and Memorial Nature Preserve in LaGrange, Georgia.
