Rebecca Smith Clark
Quebec-Rebecca Smith Clark, 90, of Quebec, NC passed away Sunday, November 13, 2011 at The Oaks of Brevard surrounded by her loving family.
A native and life long resident of the Quebec Community, Rebecca was the daughter of the late Jack and Drucilla Robinson Smith and wife of the late Charles B. Clark.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church where she served faithfully and loved her church family until her failing health.
She retired from M. B. Industries after 40 years of service and prior to that was employed at Ecusta.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Rev. John T. (Tom) Smith and two great-granddaughters, Brittany and Hannah Merrill.
Surviving are her daughter, Rachael Hudson and husband David of Quebec, NC; a son, Garfield Clark and wife Frances of Penrose, NC; two sisters, Betty Patterson and LaVern Moore and husband Gerald all of Quebec, NC, four grandchildren, Dennis Clark and wife Lori of Penrose, NC, Douglas Clark and wife Wendy of Lawndale, NC; Anita Merrill of Belmont, NC and Charles Hudson and Janahia of Quebec, NC, eleven great grandchildren; Haley, Jackson, Bryson, Lauren, and Logan Clark; Shane Jr., Cody and Cortney Merrill; Colton, Kinsley, and Cashton Hudson.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Quebec, with the Rev. Allen Thompson and
Rev. Steve Boley officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Oak Grove Cemetery Fund, 649 Kim Miller Road, Lake Toxaway, NC 28747.
