Reception: 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Friday, May 3, 2024 in Live Oak Room at Greenwood.
Funeral Service: 12:00 P.M. Saturday, May 4, 2024 in Live Oak Chapel at Greenwood, followed by entombment at Greenwood Mausoleum.
Rene was born on July, 20, 1944 in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala to parents, Gustavo Antonio Bonilla Cambara and Maria Portillo. He was a devout catholic and was part of the congregation: Movimiento de Cursillos de Cristiandad "De Colores" in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala. He married to Marina E. Sosa Vargas on March 24, 1965.
He graduated as an elementary school teacher and he was a successful businessman. His hobbies included: painting, reading, listening to music, and traveling.
He is survived by his wife Marina Bonilla; sons, Rene Gustavo, Lester Daniel, and Guido Antonio; daughters in law, putative son, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and many more family members.

Se graduo de Maestro de Enseñanza Primaria y fue un exitoso Empresario. Sus hobbies eran la lectura, pintura, escuchar musica, bailar, y viajar.
Rene ha partido, dejando su esposa Marina Bonilla; hijos, Rene Gustavo, Lester Daniel, y Guido Antonio; nueras, hijo existimativo, nietos, bis-nietos, y demás familia.
