BARKER, RICHARD JAMES
1945 – 2022
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of my father, Richard, in the early morning hours of the 26th of December at the age of 77.
He will be remembered by his son, Adri, daughter in law Melanie; grandson Matthew and granddaughter Alexandra, as well as numerous relatives and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Linda; son, Patrick; brother, Buster; and his parents Robert Sr. and Verna.
Richard was born in Westlock and spent most of his life in the community. He, Linda and the boys raised cattle and grained farm in the Dapp area for many years. He formed many relationships within the community and was always willing to lend a hand to friends and neighbors. He spent many winters trucking and operating heavy equipment to support his family.
A gathering will be held in the spring for family and friends to share stories and memories.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the staff at the Diamond Springs Lodge in Redwater and the Redwater Health Centre. Your caring and support for Dad will always be remembered and greatly appreciated.
