Richard Robert Harvey

Richard Robert Harvey (CMSgt, United States Air Force), 79, of Marquette, passed away peacefully Tuesday morning, November 28, 2023 at the DJ Jacobetti Michigan Veterans Facility.
Richard was born July 29, 1944 in Lackawanna, New York to Herbert Harvey and Delores Kern. Following high school, he served in the United States Air Force as a B-52 Tail Gunner and did 3 tours in Vietnam. He retired as CMSgt Harvey following 23 ½ years with the Air Force. Following his service to his country, he worked as the manager of the Air Force Base Credit Union, Vice President of First Northern Bank and Trust, and retired as CEO from Superior Iron Range (Honor) Credit Union.
In Mr. Harvey's (aka Rick or Rich) spare time, he enjoyed spending winters in Mesa, AZ, working on his '71 Triumph, helping his children, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Surviving are his loving wife of 57 years, Bonita (Melka) Harvey; his daughters, Mindey (Brian) Talus of Marquette, and Caprice (Tim) Feys of Negaunee; a son, Talon (Amy) Harvey of New Hudson, MI; seven grandchildren: Estion LeMoine, Jack, Lucineia and Travis Harvey, and Andrew, Derek and Cassie Feys; sister-in-law, Judith Briere; and nephew and niece, Craig and Lisa Capizzi.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his granddaughter, Olivia LeMoine; and brother-in-law, Allan Briere.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 7th at Koskey Funeral Home, Negaunee, with Rev. Larry Van Damme officiating. Burial will be in the Negaunee Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends from 2:00 PM until the start of services at 4:00 PM at the funeral home on Thursday, and also at a luncheon immediately following services at Pasquali's Pizza & Pub, 100 Cliff St., Negaunee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed in Richard's memory to the DJ Jacobetti Michigan Veterans Facility.
