Mr. Richard A. "Dick" Huff, a long-time resident of
South Williamsport, PA., died on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at WeCare At Loyalsock in

Richard was born on August 23, 1943, in Williamsport, PA. He was the son of the late Mr. John R. Huff, Sr., and Eleanor Jane Hinkal of Williamsport, PA.
Richard was a hard-working man who overcame a number of obstacles in order to become a successful entrepreneur. During his lifetime, he worked in hospitality, as a commercial real estate broker. One of Richard's great accomplishments was owning and operating The Inn at Franklin. Richard loved the hotel and restaurant business.
In fact, his greatest passion was working in the people business. He loved to socialize and talk to whoever would listen. Richard even taught a college course in hospitality at Penn College for a brief time, hoping to spark the same passion in other young minds. Richard was also a lifetime member associate with Choice Hotels, a member of the Sons of Italy in Williamsport, and a member and attendee at Saint Joseph the Worker Parish in Williamsport, PA.
Richard lived his life to the fullest. He loved to travel; he was an art collector; he enjoyed playing golf; and skiing with his daughter Natalie. He loved to go to NYC and watch Broadway shows and musicals with his granddaughter Melanie; he loved spending time at the beach, drinking red wine, and eating Italian dishes. Richard was a lifetime learner. He read many books and the newspaper every day. Richard loved sports, especially football; he was a dedicated Penn State football fan, WE ARE!
Richard was a family man; he attended all family events, games, plays, graduations, birthdays, etc.
He was a cherished father, grandfather, beloved great-grandfather, teacher, partner, and friend to many. He loved spending his days with his great-grandchildren, who he lived with. They were the light of his life and brought joy to him each day. Richard would always say, "Life is an adventure!" His adventurous spirit always prepared him to take on new things like white water rafting! This spirit was contagious and will live on through his children and grandchildren for the years to come.
