On December 7th at the age of 98, Bob was called to be with the Lord. He passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family. Bob was born on August 24th 1923 in Fort Madison Iowa and lived in a small town, Niota, Illinois for 20 years until he was drafted with the US Army in 1943. Bob served overseas during WW11 as a Technician until his honorable discharge. He worked for Schaeffer Pen Company as a Tool and Die Specialist for 14 years, and made the choice to move with his late wife Geraldine and their young family to Colorado. This journey led to a long career at Hewlett Packard for 22 years. After the passing of his wife, Bob enrolled into the deaconate program with the Archdiocese of Denver and was Ordained by Archbishop Frances Stafford. Bob spent the rest of his years serving the families and community of St. Johns Parish while also driving the courtesy shuttle for Davidson Gebhardt Chevrolet for 10 great years until his retirement.
Bob was a dedicated Deacon, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend.
He is survived by his sons Hal J. Haigh and Philip J. Haigh (Mary); his Grandchildren Heather Haigh, Troy Haigh (Paige), greatgrandchildren Bryan Futerfas and Riley Haigh, along with many family members around the country.
Appreciation and sincere thanks is to be shared with Canyon Hospice and Home Healthcare along with Seniors Helping Seniors.
