On March 18, 2023, Robert Morris Kelly (Kills two bulls) left this life to camp on the other side with his daughter Carole and many numerous other loved ones that have left before him. Robert Kelly was born on July 8,1944 in Billings to James and Julia Kelly. In his younger years, he helped in the construction of the yellowtail dam. He has led a full life as an electrician, a pilot, an actor, and a politician but his love was roping and riding and just being a cowboy. He was a proud member of the Crow Indian Tribe and fought tirelessly to protect their rights for many years. He is known to many locals for his wonderful singing voice and warming smile. He touched many lives and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife Noemi, two daughters Tina (husband Michael) Rodriguez of Arizona, Kimberly (husband Joe) Sterle of Colorado, three sons Wade Kelly of Billings, Al Ed Coca of Bozeman, and Amos Bird Hat of Billings. Two sisters Lois Morrison and Patricia Cowee both of Billings. He leaves one brother Charles Kelly of Colorado, and one honorary brother Barney Cummins of Lodge Grass.
Other remaining family include his grandchildren Anthony, Tia, Skylar, McKenzie, Aiden, Jake, Justiss, Hila, and Taylor. Very special in his heart were his 2 great grandchildren Isaac and Dominic. He is also survived and loved by many nieces and nephews.
At Roberts request, there will be no formal service. There will be a celebration of life at the family cemetery in Pryor later in the spring.
