Robert G. Pendergrass

Robert G. Pendergrass December 22, 1949 – August 8, 2025 Robert G. Pendergrass, of Springfield, Oregon, passed away on August 8, 2025, at the age of 75, after a life filled with love, adventure, and service to others. Born on December 22, 1949, in Fort Payne, Alabama, Robert was a man known for his strength of character, generous heart, and sharp mind. He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years, Joanne Pendergrass; his devoted mother, Suevilla; three stepchildren; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon. Robert earned a college degree in photography, a passion that reflected his creative eye and appreciation for capturing life's moments. He later built a successful career in welding and fabrication as a pipe fitter, becoming a Certified Welding Inspector and managing quality control with skill and precision. He was respected in his profession not only for his expertise but also for his willingness to teach and mentor others. Outside of work, Robert enjoyed the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life. He loved walking his dog, Cloe, on the beach, camping in the motorhome, rafting the Rogue River, and riding his motorcycle. Above all, he valued time with family and friends. Robert will be remembered for his compassion, patience, intelligence, and generosity. He was a teacher in every sense-always ready to share what he knew and lend a helping hand. A Celebration of Life and potluck will be held in his honor on September 6th at 1:00 PM at the Springfield Moose Lodge 1726. All who knew and loved Robert are warmly invited to attend and share memories. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
