Rose Marie “Rosie” VonRuden, 67, of Brainerd, Minnesota passed away on October 24, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Rosie will be remembered for her kind heart, endless forgiveness, and the love she shared so freely with those around her.
Born on March 21, 1958, in Owatonna, Rosie was the cherished daughter of the late William Huge VonRuden and Pearl Marie VonRuden. From a young age, she embodied compassion and strength, qualities that carried through every stage of her life. Deeply rooted in her faith and family, Rosie dedicated herself to creating a strong bond with her loved ones. Always believing in their potential and guiding them with gentle wisdom.
Rosie’s sons, Randy and Stephen VonRuden, were her greatest joy and the focus of her life. Her devotion extended to her grandchildren, Isaac, Ava, Reese, Justin, Hailey and Ayden, and the broader family circle, where she was a source of unwavering support and comfort. Her nurturing spirit and optimism made her a role model for those who were fortunate enough to know her.
Beyond her family life, Rosie found simple pleasures in the things she loved – her passion for animals, the thrill of a casino visit, and later the fun she discovered through online gaming. Through all of life’s changes, she remained steadfastly positive and open-hearted.
A celebration of Rosie’s life will take place in the near future, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember her remarkable spirit. Rosie will be deeply missed by all who knew her positive, loving, and caring personality, and her memory will forever warm the hearts of those she touched.
