Russell Lester Montgomery

Russell Lester Montgomery, 64, of Yakima, Washington, went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2023, surrounded by his family and friends. Russell was born on November 6, 1958, and raised in Southern California. He was the third of four siblings.
Russell worked in Fabrication most of his life and enjoyed doing it.
Russell always had a passion for motorcycles and sharing his passion with his boys and grandchildren. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and teaching them new things. He enjoyed going to California to sit and relax on the beaches.
He enjoyed fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends.
Russell is preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Meryle and LeRoy Morris.
He is survived by his wonderful wife of 40 years, Carol, his sons, Andrew Sr, Jeffery, and William, his father, Gary, his sisters, Dee, Kelley and brother, Gary, many nephews and nieces, and six grandsons, and one granddaughter.
"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day-and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing." 2 Timothy 4:7-8
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023, at 10:00am, at Terrace Heights Baptist Church (619 S. 41st St. Yakima WA, 98901).
As Russell always said, "We're not here for a long time, just a good time."
