Savitri Thomson

Savitri (Annie) Thomson was born on August 22, 1968 in Georgetown, Guyana. She passed away on December 15, 2023 after a very sudden decline in her health. Annie was only 55 years of age.
  Annie is survived by her beautiful daughters Rani and Jena, her parents Dwarkanand and Kay Mahanand, her brother Krishna Mahanand and his wife Nafeeza, her brother Ram Mahanand and his wife Deanna, and her brother Vedjai Mahanand.  She is also survived by her nieces Mary Vessel, and Lauren Enriquez, as well as her nephews Ravi Mahanand, Mitchell Mahanand, and Ryan Mahanand.  Her nephew Michael Mahanand preceded her in death. She is also survived by many cousins and other relatives.
  Annie began her career as a civil servant just after graduating from high school. She worked for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) for over 35 years.
  Annie was strong willed and stubborn at times, but she also had an enormous heart and wonderful sense of humor. She was generous, loyal, and brave. She was clever and full to the brim with knowledge gained through all of her life experiences.
She will be remembered for all the heart she shared with her friends and family. She truly loved each of them- and if you knew her, you knew it. When her time came, she continued to show her family how much she loved them in her final minutes. She will be missed dearly.
