My deepest condolences to Scott´s family and especially the children. Scott was a great friend who I enjoyed some of my fondest memories in golf with him. Looking back and remembering made me realize how tough it is to lose someone so special.

I am so sad to see this. Scott and I were co-captains on the WHS golf team. He was an absolutely amazing player and even better guy! We won a lot of matches-mainly due to Scott's unbelievable talent. We also played a lot of junior golf together during the summer-from local tournaments to friendly matches at both Foxboro CC and Walpole CC. And we always had a great time when we played-regardless of the score! My heart goes out to his family. Rest in peace my friend.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Trethewey family. Scott was an amazing talent on the golf course and an even better friend off the course. I will have many great memories of our times together as partners and teammates in college.
To his family...please know that he loved you all dearly and will see you all again someday. Rest peacefully my friend, I miss you already! Gary Young

Sorry to read this news about Scott. Met him when he was an Asst. Pro at Wellesley CC. Great guy, tremendous player, hard worker and a great sense of humor. He left us far too young. R.I.P. my friend.

I first crossed paths playing junior golf tournaments with Scott but our friendship really blossomed during high school where we played for 4 years against each other in the Bay State League. Scott played at Walpole High and I at Wellesley. He was a great player with a wonderful tempo and boy could he putt. We had many great matches together and a mutual respect was born. That bond lasted years into our adult lives and golf was the glue that held it together!
I will cherish those memories from our formative years.
My prayers and condolences to his family and friends...

I met Scott when he was an assistant at Wellesley C.C.
He took great pride in seeing his students improve and play better.
A friendship evolved and I loved the Pro Am events we played in together.
I will always remember the time I looped for Scott in the Mass Open qualifier.
His golf skills were awesome. He came back from a poor start to vault himself into shooting the round he needed to qualify.
He made his swing look so easy! He had a gift that he loved to share with others.
