Steven Allen Carr was born to Leon and Burdella (Decker) Carr on April 14, 1954. He grew up in Mitchell and attended Mitchell schools and VoTech.
Steve worked various jobs including, laying sod, lawn care, roofing, and then 32 years at Trail King Industries.
Steve loved playing pool, and won many trophies over the years. He also loved loud music (cranking up the bass), he entered his beloved Z-28 Camero in many car stereo competitions, winning trophies.
Steve is survived by his children, Shannon (Dennis) Paplow of Fulda, MN and Chad Carr of Fargo, ND; three grandsons, Lucas, Dawson, and Anthony; brothers, Larry Carr of Yankton, SD and Eddie Lutz of MO; sisters, Goldie (Dave) Johnson and Diana (Patrick) Lucas all of Mitchell; partner, Carla Inzinia of Mobile, AL; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jeanette Fields; and three nephews, Larry Carr Jr., Joshua Bell, and Victor McKittrick Jr.
