Steven Wayne Winder of Caro, Texas passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday November 21,2023.

Steve fondly known as Pete or Peter was born to Rho and Jausell Winder on March 4, 1959 in Houston, Texas.

Early on in his career, Steve worked as a roughneck, welder, and carpenter. All his knowledge gained early on, lead up to a successful career of 30 plus years with both, CCE Inc.owned and operated by his first cousin, Mark Clifton and Longview Bridge. Steve was well known in the state as a concrete Superintendent and for pushing some of the best bridge and concrete crews.

Steve is survived by his two sons Nakia Joe Wilson of Nacogdoches and Nicholas Ayres Winder of Nacogdoches and their spouses Holli Rebecca Wilson and Jordan J'Lynne Winder. Papa Steve was a loving Grandfather to his four grandchildren, Cody and Megan Wilson and Jaxon and Carter Winder. Along with his parents Rho and Jausell Winder of Caro, Tx. His sister Gwen Winder of Caro, Tx and her two children Cassie and Micheal Ellis of Nacogdoches. Steve was preceded in death by his brother Micheal Rex Winder. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
