Susan Dewey

Susan Dewey, 72, loving Mother, Mimi, and Sister passed away peacefully April 2, 2012 at her home with her family by her side. She was a former resident of Edmond, Oklahoma, moving to El Campo three years ago to be closer to her family. Susan valiantly and gracefully battled lung cancer during the past few months. She had an incredible outlook on life and never let her condition slow her down from giving her all to her family and friends. Susan was born January 16, 1940 in Colgate, Oklahoma. She loved her Oklahoma Sooners. She is preceded in death by her parent's. She is survived by her loving son; Lance and daughter in law; Heidi. Susan is also survived by her two special grandchildren, Maddison Mae Dewey and Cole Garrison Dewey, her brother; Ed Garrison and his wife Jan of Clive, Iowa. Sincere appreciation to Dr. Tu and her team at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in addition the nursing staff with Houston Hospice El Campo. Funeral services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Thursday April 5, 2012 at the Triska funeral home chapel with Rev. Jim Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends beginning at 11 a.m. Thusday.
