Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, George and Bobby Wathen; and sisters, Beatrice Buckman, Clarice Hughes, Lula Murphy, Adeline Hughes, Louise Harmon, Lucille Drury, Judy Antle, and Helen Murphy.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Bonnie Wathen; sons James (Rebecca) Wathen, and Thomas "Tommy" (Emily) Wathen Jr.; brothers, Bill Wathen, and Joe (Jeanette) Wathen; grandchildren, Lambert Wathen, Landen Wathen, Noah Semones, Lane Wathen, and Veda Wathen; also surviving are a host of other extended family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 06, 2022 at Bosley Funeral Home with Deacon Joseph R. Dant officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Name of Mary Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until time of service on Wednesday at Bosley Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Brent Bland, Elmer Hughes, Jody Wathen, Casey Cooper, Jeremy Clark and Michael Boots.
Honorary pallbearers will be James Wathen, Tommy Wathen Jr., Lambert Wathen, Landen Wathen, Noah, Lane Wathen and James Barnett
