Besides her parents, Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Gary D. Bartley; brothers, Tom Lewis Mattingly, Willie Boo Mattingly, Eddie Boo Mattingly, Joe Mattingly, and Charles Leo Mattingly; and sister, Patricia Mattingly.
Survivors include her children, Kathy Smith of Lebanon, Ed Brady of Centerburg, OH, and James Smothers of Lebanon; sisters, Gracie (Sonny) Campbell, Theresa (Lloyd) Arnold, and Betty Jane (Earl) Bickett; sister-in-law, Della Gribbins; grandchildren, Jonathan Smothers, Cassidy Smothers, Joe Joe Smith, Autumn Smith, Coralynne Brady, Anna Marie Brady, and Kyle Wagner; also surviving are 8 great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, October 09, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 08, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. officiated by Deacon Dennis May.
