He was preceded in death by his parents; two siblings, Marcella Porter and Joseph "Super Cool" Brown.
Survivors include his two sons, Lavelle Porter, Sr. (Tenisha), Phillip Johnson; fiancé, Janice Taylor; nine siblings, George Brown (Elizabeth Ann), Leo Brown, Emma Smith, Gloria Brown, Ann Brown, Mary Ann Gray (Terry), Geraldine Turner (Johnny), Louise Brown, Mary Elizabeth Miller.
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, October 03, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home. Interment to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Friday, October 03, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Brown, Rashaud Brown, Wayne Smith, David Brown, George Smalley, Thomas Smalley, Shawn Taylor, Rod Taylor, Curtis Brown, Clayton Gray.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Chris Gunn, Melvin Porter, George Brown, Leo Brown, Gilbert JR Gunn "Jingle"
