James Richard "Dick" Moraja, Sr., age 84, of Lebanon, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at the Village of Lebanon Nursing Home. He was born on September 11, 1941 in Lebanon, Kentucky to the late William Cecil and Hattie Montgomery Moraja.

Dick was a graduate of St. Joe Prep (Bardstown, KY), attended Bowling Green Business School, and Kentucky School of Mortuary Science. In 1969, he went into partnership with Lee Wilcher and purchased Bosley Funeral Home, one of Marion County's oldest businesses, founded in 1878. Dick enjoyed being involved in the community, having served on many boards and with involvement in several organizations. One of his proudest accomplishments was in being one of the founding fathers of Ham Days. Dick spent many Ham Days in the downtown firehouse cooking up ham breakfasts. Dick's hobbies included collecting antiques, fishing, gardening, Wednesday night suppers at Salot's cabin and talking to members of his community.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Blandford Moraja; parents; two brothers, Cecil Moraja and JC Moraja.

Survivors include his son, Richard (Pam) Moraja of Lebanon; two grandchildren, Ann Carol (Aaron) Brown and Will Moraja, both of Lebanon; step great-grandson, Bensen Brown.

Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, September 24, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Interment to follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Bosley Funeral Home with a prayer service that will be held at 7:00 P.M., officiated by Deacon Joe Dant.
