Robert D. "Bob" O'Blenis 79, of Bonita Springs died Saturday, April 10, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his beloved wife and his loving family after suffering a recent stroke. He was born on January 28, 1942 in Mishawaka, IN a son of the late Robert L. and Phyllis M (Dixon) O'Blenis. Bob had been a resident of Bonita Springs for the past 47 years coming from Milford, IN. On March 31, 1961 he married the love of his life, the former Hilda J. Evans in Indiana. They just recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. He was a licensed contractor and designer and owned Robert O'Blenis Design and Construction Company in Bonita Springs. He was a member of Anchor Christian Church and recently completed the expansion of the church that will be a lasting legacy. He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda J. O'Blenis of Bonita Springs, FL; two daughters, Tammar J. Hammer and her husband, Mike of Labelle, FL and Amy M. O'Blenis Beatty and her husband, Mike of Plant City, FL; 10 grandchildren, Michal Beatty Hale (Brian), Aro Robert Beatty, Kailey Hammer Panzarino (Adam), Abbey Hammer Merchant (Lenny), Samuel Beatty (Amy), John Beatty (Cheyenne), Mercy Beatty Thomas (Josiah), Moriah Beatty, Merridith Beatty and Tobias Beatty; and 11 great grandchildren, Michael Panzarino, Gabriel Panzarino, Jackson Hale, Sofia Panzarino, Emmit Merchant, Carly Hale, Noah Merchant, Logan Hale, Nathaniel Panzarino, Alice Merchant and Baby Boy Thomas. He is also survived by his uncle, Bruce Dixon and his wife, Kay and his cousins, Gerry O'Blenis, Cathy VanDway, and Linda Kline. A celebration of his life is being planned Sunday, May 2, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and will be held at Anchor Christian Church 11651 E. Terry St., Bonita Springs, FL 34135. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Bob may be made to Anchor Christian Church 11651 E. Terry St., Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
