Ruth C. Glass Winchester, VA
Ruth Crouse Glass, 67, of Winchester, VA, died Friday, January 18, 2013, at Blue Ridge Hospice Inpatient Care Center.
Mrs. Glass was born on March 10, 1945 in Bloomery, WV; the daughter of the late Jerry N. and the late Wilda V. Cannon Crouse.
Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was especially close to her brothers and sisters and will be missed by her family, friends and neighbors in Winchester and Naples, FL.
She married Thomas Cover Glass on May 28, 1994 at the Opequon Presbyterian Church in Winchester.
Along with her husband, she is survived by a daughter, April White-Puffinburger and her husband, Paul R. Puffinburger, Jr., of Stephens City; a son, Jay Grady, of Stephens City; three step-daughters, Anne Buettner, and husband, Jeff Buettner of Winchester ; Kate McKay, and husband, Ed McKay of Winchester ; and Julie Barmak, and husband Allan Barmak of Leesburg; five grandchildren, Noah Grady, Connor Grady, Madison Grady, Cody Puffinburger and Alex Puffinburger; nine step-grandchildren, Zach Buettner, Liza Buettner, Riley Buettner, Tommy McKay, Mary McKay, Will McKay, Taylor Barmak, Macy Barmak and Greyson Barmak; three sisters, Naomi V. Sites, of Winchester, Freda G. Phipps, Keyser, WV, and Betty E. Wilson, Inwood, WV; and one brother, Melvin J. Crouse, of Winchester.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry R. Crouse.
Family and close friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Jones Funeral Home with Carolyn Brill officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Hebron Cemetery.
Fairfax County Sheriff's Honor Guard will serve as pallbearers.
