It was an honor to serve as RTO to Thomas Carney while he was C Company Commander of 2/503 INF 173d ABN (sep). I have never forgot his leadership and his caring for his men. It was a life that I can never forget, nor would I want to. Rest in peace, Sir. You've earned it.

Dear Carney Family:
I was privileged to know Tom as a classmate and friend at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland. The first pizza I had was with Tom in a parlor in his West Park neighborhood during our freshman year.
I got to speak with him him a few times during the past few years.
God bless Tom and I am praying for him and the family. Well done, good and faithful servent.

Peg, Angie and I send our sincerest condolences to you and the Family. I had the pleasure of serving with General Carney when he commanded the 2/87th Inf Bn in Mainz Germany as his S3 Operations Officer. Our young families experienced many challenges while making wonderful unforgettable memories. General Carney and you served our Country with distinction and personally provided the catalyst allowing Ang and I to have a successful military career. Our love and Prayers always.
