James Bay Obituary

James Russell Bay, Sr.

FRAZEYSBURG: James Russell Bay, Sr., 76 of Bradenton, Florida passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at his home.

Born January 29, 1936 in Nashport, Ohio he was a son of the late Harry R. and Elsie (Scanlon) Bay and was a 1954 graduate of Frazeysburg High School. He retired in 1998 from International Converter (formerly Kaiser Aluminum) in Belpre, Ohio after 29 years of service and he was a member of the United Steel Workers. James, and his wife June, retired to Bradenton, Florida in 2004 where he enjoyed the warn sunshine and playing shuffleboard, although he never missed an Ohio State game.

Surviving is his wife of 56 years, June Bay; three children Arlene, James and Doug; a sister, Eloise Boggs of St. Louisville, Ohio; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, all in Ohio and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Charles M. Bay and a brother in-law, Charles E. Boggs.

Memorial services will be 11:00am Saturday, August 17, 2013 at the Frazeysburg Chapel of Vensil & Chute Funeral Home, 110 West Third Street with the Rev. Greg Inboden officiating.

Calling hours will be from 10am until service time.

My heart goes out to the Bay Family in this time of loss. James and June always made me feel like part of the family when I married Richard. I will always remember their love and concern, support and encouragement. Rest in peace, and thanks for being a part of my life.
