Thomas Covitz Obituary

Tom "The Baseball Card Man," 70, of Trent Woods, passed away July 26, 2016 at CarolinaEast Medical Center. He was enlisted in the United States Army, and served honorably in the Vietnam War. He was a truly kind and funny man who made friends wherever he went, and was the biggest Yankee fan ever. He will be missed by many.
He is survived by his devoted love of 30 years, Kathleen Holmes of Trent Woods, NC; her mom, Bea Nadle of New Bern, NC; and her daughter, Kelly D'Ambrosio and her husband Daniel, and their much loved children Philip and Michael of Fairfax Station, VA. He is also survived by his mother Edna Covitz, brother John, sisters Jean and Lynne, and daughters Laura and Tara, all of Long Island, NY. He also leaves behind his godson and "best buddy" David Morgan, Jr.
A celebration of life service will be planned in August at Twin Rivers Baptist Church. Per Tom's wishes, his ashes will be scattered
at the old Yankee Stadium. Online condolences may be made at www.pollockbest.com.

Tommy was quite the nut as I remember him.
He was always knee deep in something.
Quite the character......YES.

He was quite nut in our childhood days.
We had fun hunting in upstate NY.
He is in a better place now, may he rest in peace.
