Raymond Kopycinski Obituary

Raymond Joseph Kopycinski, 81, of New Britain, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Nov. 17, 2021. He was the husband of the late Kathleen (Herman) Kopycinski. Born in New Britain, he was a lifelong resident. He was formerly employed at the City of New Britain, Department of Public Works, before retiring. Raymond was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the Boston Red Sox. Over the last eleven months, Raymond lived with his daughter and grandchildren and enjoyed making many lasting memories for all of us. Dad/grandpa, we will surely miss you. Rest in Peace.
Surviving are three children, Gary Kopycinski and his wife Marge of Unionville, Lisa Vignone of Berlin, and Craig Kopycinski of New Britain; eight grandchildren, Anthony, Courtney, Stephanie, Robin, Rachael, Michael, Nicolas, and Matthew; a great-grandson, Dustin; his brothers and sisters , Wally, Danny, Sandra, Joanie, and Jenny; many nieces and nephews; and a close family friend, Pete Kummer. In addition to his wife Kathleen, he was predeceased by a daughter, Donna
Kopycinski; and by a son-in-law, Nick Vignone.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home, 411 So. Main St., New Britain. Please share a memory of Raymond with the family in the online guest book @ www.ericksonhansen.com

I remember how sometimes I would sleep over Mr.Kopycinskis home I was friends with his Son craig. This good man would get up early in the morning and make me and craig some awesome Breakfast. He was a Good man.
