Stanislawa Kurys Obituary
Stanislawa "Stella" (Sikorski) Kurys, 74, of Newington, departed this life on July 11, 2023 peacefully after a brief illness. She was born on September 4, 1948 in Grajewo, Poland. Stella immigrated to the United States in 1965 with her parents, Henryk and Leonarda, and her four siblings.
Stella worked for over 25 years at the Keeney Manufacturing in Newington, where she retired in 2010. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her grandsons Joe and Nicholas Spears, and her son in-law Michael Spears. Stella also leaves behind her four siblings and their spouses, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Kazimierz Kurys; and daughter Lucy Spears.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Saturday, July 15th, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. Her funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. She will be laid to rest next to her husband in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Britain.
