Gary E. Dockery, 82, of Roaming Shores, OH passed away peacefully Friday afternoon January 21st, 2022 at the Ashtabula County Nursing Home in Kingsville, Ohio. He was born in Johnson City, TN on November 6th, 1939 to the late Bernie E. and Ruth (Caldwell) Dockery.
He was a graduate of Brooklyn High School and then earned his Bachelor's Degree in the first graduating class from Cleveland State University (formerly known as Fenn College). Gary worked as an accountant at Ford Motor Company Walton Hills Stamping Plant before ascending to being a Supervisor of the QA Department. He retired after working over 30 years at Ford.
Gary will be dearly missed by: his loving wife of 55 years, Carol; son, Vaughan (Susie) Dockery; grandchildren, Corporal Devon Dockery USMC, Cheyenne Dockery; step-grandchildren, Rachel and Jack; brother, Ivan Dockery; nieces and nephews, Kimberly, Scott, Michelle, Greg; and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 13th, 2022 at Clark Cemetery, Del Rio, TN.
A Luncheon and Celebration of Life will follow beginning at 11:30 A.M., at the Fox Den Restaurant,790 TN-107, Del Rio, TN 37727.
