Steven Karl Eddy

Steven Karl Eddy, 56, passed away August 17, 2020, at his home in Sierra Vista, Ariz., with his mother by his side. Born in Wadsworth in 1963, he had attended Mayfield Heights High School. Upon his graduation, he entered the U.S. Army and retired after more than 20 years of service. No matter where he was stationed, he followed his home teams, the Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Browns.Steven is survived by his children, Erica, Kristin and Kyle Eddy; mother, Karyl McMurrain; sister, Kelli Anne McMurrain; aunt, Barbara Higgins; and many cousins and friends.He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Lewis and Elsie Mowery, formerly of Wadsworth.A memorial service with military honors will be conducted 10:45 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021, at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville.Arrangements are entrusted to McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Homes in Willoughby and Mentor.To leave condolences for the family, visit www.MCVfuneralhomes.com.
