Phyllis Daniels Leutz, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 16, 2007, in Daytona Beach. Born May 12, 1923, in Oshkosh, Wis., Phyllis lived in the Spruce Creek Fly-In, Port Orange. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee with a degree in art education and taught art at Central High School in Madison, Wis. She received awards in painting and sculpture and had exhibited her work at Milwaukee Art Institute, Chicago Art Institute, and Unviersity of Wisconsin. In her spare time she loved to play the piano, golf, bowl and play a good game of gin rummy. She is survived by her children, Lisa, Lynn and Ross Daniels; grandchildren, Jesse, Michelle, Sierra and Nicholas; and great-grandson, Dante Ray, all of California; and her longtime companion, Donald Leutz. The family would like to thank the 10th floor staff of Halifax Medical Center, Sandlewood Nursing Home and Odyssey Hospice for all their care and loving support. Funeral service will be private. In lieu of flowers, a donation to any Hospice would be greatly appreciated. "May you know the peace and comfort this heartfelt thought imparts, the ones we love are never gone, they live within our Hearts".
