I spent many nights of my childhood at the parham's, since their son Tripp was my best friend. They were friendly, loving parents. I miss so much those innocent years. Tripp was a loyal friend. I know he still would be if I saw him today. But life goes on. I miss him. Billy Nichols.

Dear Family,
Tommy was such a wonderful man!!!! We use to talk a lot of smack about GA because we were both from the same neck of the woods. I know that he is now on the "great front porch in the sky".

Doris and Family,

We were saddened to hear of the passing of Tommy. I spoke to him prior to our High School Class Reunion in 2007 and hoped the two of you could have joined us. Having had Tommy as a classmate from the first grade through the 12th grade, I can attest to his love of life, his sense of humor, and his quest for success. I am sure the memories of Tommy will be a treasure to you and your family forever. Our condolences to you and your family.

On behalf of David and Susanne Andel, my Mother (Ouida), we want pass on our condelences. Tommy was the same age of my brother Jerry and I thought the world of him and looked up to him as a big brother.

He's in a better place now...the motorcycles and gas are free and the roads are wide open. This is a short poem I found many years ago and would like to share with you:
"Come Ride With Me
God saw that you were suffering and a life was not to be.
So He put His arms around you and whispered, "Come ride with me".
Through tear filled eyes we watched you suffer and slowly fade away.
Although we loved you deeply, we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating; hard working hands were put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us He only takes the best."

There are a lot of youg adults in the middle Georgia area who owe a lot to Tommy Parham. Their high school years were enhanced by his caring about the kind of education they received. Not only did he have a beautiful store in Fort Valley and was a very successful merchant but he was a concerned citizen who cared about his community.
