Brian May Obituary

Brian May

Brian Patrick May, 38, of Springfield, MO, passed away on May 31, 2015 at his home in Springfield. He was born July 5, 1976 in Wichita, KS to Frederick and Diane (Baran) May. Brian graduated from Kickapoo High School in 1994. After graduation, Brian worked in the restaurant industry for many years.

Sports, music, reading, friends, and spending time in the outdoors were passions of his, but the pride and joy of his life was his son, Ian, born in 2006. Brian was a loving and devoted father, and one of his favorite activities was spending time with Ian while exploring nature and stargazing.

Brian was preceded in death by his father and grandparents, Frederick and Louise May and Kenneth and Jeanette Baran. Brian is survived by his beloved son, Ian; Ian's mother, Jade Bolli; his mother and brothers, Cullen and Christopher, Springfield; aunts and uncles, Dan and Linda May, O'Fallon, IL; Tom and Sheila May, Lilburn, GA; Tim and Barb May, Orlando, FL; Barb and Steve Joyce, Gillespie, IL; Beth and Steve Krakosky, Belleville, IL.; Renee Baran, Los Angeles, CA; Ken and Erin Baran, North Oaks, MN; and many cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, June 6th at Klingner-Cope at the Rivermonte Chapel, 4500 S. Lone Pine Ave., Springfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rare Breed Youth Services program in Springfield in Brian's memory, or do some act of unexpected kindness for someone in need. Brian would like that. Brian, you are loved and will always be remembered.
