Donald Mustain Obituary

In loving memory of wonderful husband, great father and grandfather, and bigger than life "Big Paw Paw." Donald Lee Mustain, 71 of Kimberling City, went home to be with the Lord on May 29, 2007, at St. John's Hospital in Springfield after a year long battle with lung cancer. He was born in Hartsburg, Mo., on June 1, 1935, the son of William (Shady) and Adah L. (Nichols) Mustain. He was one of 11 children. Don was united in marriage on May 31, 1976, to Ruth Eden Wallace who survives in the home. Don spent his life in the concrete construction business in Camdenton and Springfield. After retiring he was an active member in the Kimberling City Presbyterian Church. Don was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew and loved him. His family will always remember him as someone who had an ordinary life made extraordinary. In addition to Ruth, also surviving are three daughters, Debbie Carr and husband, Ron, of Springfield, Rhonda Upton and husband, David, of Jefferson City, and Sheila Mustain of Springfield; two stepsons, Rick Wallace and wife, Lynda, of Springfield, and Terry Wallace of Houston, Texas; three granddaughters, April, Amber and Brandy, and two grandsons, Brook and Brian. He was "Big Paw Paw" to nine great-grandchildren. Don has seven sisters and one brother and numerous friends. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Bill and Lloyd. Celebration of Life services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2007, at 10 a.m. in the Klingner-Cope Family Funeral Home at White Chapel with a entombment to follow in the White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home, 5234 W. State Hwy EE, Springfield, MO 65802. Memorial donations may be made in Don's memory to the American Cancer Society or left at the funeral home.
