Charles Joseph Fenerty, age 67, of Cape Coral, FL passed away unexpectedly on March 19, 2015. He entered eternal rest while visiting his children, family and friends in the Philadelphia/New Jersey area. Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

Chuck was born in Philadelphia, PA. He graduated from Father Judge High School. He loved all kinds of sports and was on the swim team. He loved art and upon graduation went on to study architecture. He also served as a member of the Army Reserve.

He relocated to Cape Coral in 1986, where he worked as an architect. In 1994, he became partners in the firm of Associates in Architecture & Planning, Inc. where he enjoyed working and designing until his retirement. There are many buildings throughout Lee County with Chucks signature design on them. Chuck was a member of the Scotty Boys Golf Club and could be seen playing many times at the Coral Oaks Club where he lived. He never missed going to the Master's every year with his friends.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Mary Fenerty and his youngest son, Charles Joseph Fenerty, Jr., affectionately known as "C.J.".

He is survived by his wife of 33 years Kate Fenerty; sisters Maureen, Geraldine, and Patricia; brothers Thomas and Terrance; daughters Colleen Fenerty and Megan (Matt) Palentchar, son Bryan (Anna) Fenerty; grandsons Gabriel, Sebastian, Luis and Liam, granddaughters Ava and Lana; along with sister and brother in laws and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Chuck's life will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, Hunt Chapel, 4544 Coronado Parkway, Cape Coral, FL on Saturday April 18, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. An informal gathering will follow after the service at their home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in memory of Charles Fenerty, Sr, C.J. Fenerty, Jr. or Jean Pavey to Faith Presbyterian Church's Memory Garden. The family of Charles J. Fenerty thanks you.
